Chapman is not a closer. He's a snuffer. What a battle with Tulo. Great baseball.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Don't agree with sitting on the fastball continually there, but it worked.

Reading the game thread in the booth? That was weird.

Hanigan wanted him to throw the slider, but the fastball worked.

As much as I love to watch that heater, I don't want him to lose that slider. The first time I ever saw Chapman pitch, the first batter struck out on three straight. Heater, heater, and then promptly broke his shins in half trying to hit a slider. I want that back.

    Let's give Dusty some credit.

First, let's give Dusty a demerit for using Jose in that spot.

But at least he didn't save Chapman for the ninth as the "closer." That time the flexible approach helped the Reds.

By the way, Tulowitzki is one impressive ballplayer. Putting Votto aside, if there is a better player in the NL, I don't know who he is.

The way things are going, we need some more runs.

I hope Chapman comes back out for the 9th.

I love people saying he brought in Chapman for the 8th and not the 9th.

I'll be stunned if Chapman doesn't pitch the 9th. He's trying to get 5 outs from him.

I almost never say this, but huge props to Dusty for using Chap in the high leverage spot instead of the save.

How come "live update" isn't working on this game thread?

Votto flew out to left for the 1st out.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I don't think so, but never try and figure out Dusty.
