2012 NL Rookie of the Year?

With the Reds having a few guys who could be in the running for this do you think Harper wins it because of his name and hype regardless of stats?

I think Harper will win because of the stats he'll put up.

As he should be. The kid in ninteen years old in the big leagues. Quite frankly, if he was a humble taking it in stride type of kid I would be disappointed in him.

Give it time. The game will humble him. It always does.

Mez probably won't get nearly as many at-bats as Harper so I would imagine Harper would put up better numbers, and Cozart would probably only be ROTY in a year featuring no other notable rookies.

Harper has to be the early favorite, but should Julio Teheran or Trevor Bauer get called up and dominate, it could be there's for the taking.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Why would you hope something like that happens? Because you perceive him as a jerk? If someone thinks I am a jerk, and I am sure there are plenty who do, should Chapman drill me with a 106 MPH fastball?

Do we really need these kinds of comments? I mean really?

I'm with Cole Hamels on this.

I grew up in an "act like you been there" family. I despise arrogance.
Where has he not 'acted like he has been there'? The dude runs full out on everything he hits. He doesn't hit a jack and stand there and stare at it for 10 seconds.

You know who is arrogant? Every great player. All of them. Forever. Always have been.

If Harper played in Cincy he would be loved and heralded as the next Pete.

He is 19 years old. He will grow out of it.

I've yet to see any arrogance out of Harper at the MLB level. I love watching him play.

I love Harper. The guy is full-go, every minute of every game. Pujols is arrogant. Bonds was arrogant. Jose Canseco was arrogant. Bryce Harper plays as if the game owes him nothing. It's not his fault he's been overhyped and is a media darling. He's a great talent, and I hope he owns D.C. for the next 10 years.
