Double post. A rash of that on the board lately. Technical issue?

Must be. I edited post 4 and it showed up in post 3.

Christiani went 2.2 scoreless and Jordan Smith got the final out for the save, 4-3.

    Edit: Late again.

Hamilton got his third hit, drove in his second run, and stole his third base (52). He drove in Bowe, who bunt-singled (.392) and stole second.

With patriotic fervor, Slidin' Billy announced that he is going for 76 steals by the Fourth of July. He needs to slow down some.

6-2 final. Chris Joyce pitched two scoreless innings and Michael Griffin the last one. Griffin has been pretty much neglected here, but he might be a developing story. It's his first year as a pitcher after a long minor-league career as a utility guy, and he's already holding his own.

Not only does Walt undervalue the bench in the majors, just judging by who he signed or traded for....but he did not even bother to re-stock the AAA club with the usual decent AAA fodder ....just in case some of it turns to some short term gold for bench use...in the majors.
