    Reds 1B Hal Morris and Expos C Gary Carter were ejected in the bottom of the first inning after a brawl following a home plate collision. Reggie Sanders replaced Morris, playing CF with Dave Martinez moving to 1B. Carter was replaced behind the plate by the equally ancient Rick Cerone.
