Or Burnett could give up 2 hits, a walk, and a grand slam. You never know. He's not exactly Sandy Koufax.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Goodbye Mike Costanzo. Your number has been called. Drive south and slightly west 90 miles.

That's somebody I would've LOVED to have seen pitch. Koufax that is.

He had a rep as a poor defender before he came up. And that was at third where he had considerable reps. He hasn't done 1st in quite a while. It was pretty predictable....but you're right, I deserved to be called on that one. Well played.

Saw him many times. After he got the hang of it, he was nearly unhittable. Hated him when he pitched for the hated Dodgers against the Reds.

One time the Reds radio announcer in the ninth inning, with two out, said "The Dodgers players walk off the field, Koufax winds and throws, strike three, game over."

    Best pitcher I ever saw.
