So true. Unfair that he may lose.

Marshall gives up the BB. 1 on, 1 out.
    Quick hook? Yep.

    Ondrusek in.

Methinks Dusty's overthinking this a bit.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Dusty pulling out all the stops tonight. Using muliple relievers here, lefty righty switches.

Only thing he forgot was to use the team's best player.

Wow. That shows very little confidence in Marshall.

Me, too. Why burn Sean for Logan. I just don't understand Dusty at all.

Well, it's certainly not over yet. Phillips, Heisey & Frazier due up. Certainly some longball potential there.

But we've got to shut the door here for sure.

Neither of them have pitched in like 4 or 5 days, and then we're off tomorrow. They need the work.

This is his second game off in like 2 years. There are 2 off days in the next 5 days. Seems like an odd day to give Joey a day off when you have a chance to win a series against a division opponent. Joey is this offense...which is sad to type.

OTOH, that trio is 1-8 with a DP. Not exactly confidence inspiring against their closer. <crossed fingers>

I don't think that is sad.

I'm not going to make a big fuss about it, but sitting Votto, when they're off tomorrow, and Monday, and the following Monday, when trying to win a series doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

That is all. Please win, Reds.

Outside of today, all three have been fairly hot lately. They're due. :O)

I am sure that Brewers fans say that about Braun, Dodger fans about Kemp, and Pirates fans about McCutcheon. When you have an elite player in the lineup for so long and then he sits one out, it seems like you have nothing. The Reds still have a decent offense without Votto.
