So the reds should get on average 9 runs and 15 hits every game?

No, but I expect a team to score more than 650 runs this season.

What you guys are failing to realize is this team doesn't need to score a ton of runs to win games. If the staff can get to the 7th or 8th with any kind of lead we are in good shape. Actually great shape!

I wouldn't mind giving him another shot in Sept call-ups, but for now I am ready for plan B.

true but this team is also prone to only scoring 0-2 runs alot of games and while the starting pitching is good it's not other worldly to keep teams from scoring that many runs to get our bullpen in the game to protect a lead

I agree the team is going to have to find the proper mix of pitching and batting to make a playoff run. I'm willing to admit the teams margin for error is more thin than other playoff teams but that's okay. If the bats get hot at the right time the sky is the limit. Lets all pray when we make the playoffs those bats wake up and stay awake. Could be something special.
