This article says that he has three pitches:

    Fastball: 91-96 mph
    Changeup: 74-81 mph
    Slider: 79-83 mph

Does Buckley know we had the 14th pick and not the 40th?

You mean like this, not doing a double panda facepalm as I don't know enough on him.

I don't get the hand-wringing. Most of us (myself included) haven't seen 99.999999% of thee players play a single game.

Scouts get these things right less than half the time. Fans even less. The fact is this kid has more talent than most. So he's a high school arm? Every college arm was a high school arm at one point. It doesn't change the talent level.

Nice, and now the Indians will make a good pick to make the way I feel even worse.

Baseball America had him going #20 to the Giants, who've done a great job of developing arms.

He wouldn't have lasted out of the first round for sure.

HS guy in the mid 90's with 3 pitches--right on target. No way he's around after a half dozen more picks.

There's a lot of high school arms. Some are projected to go high in the draft. Others aren't. Those who are experts in this field seem to think the Reds reached here.

"Indians looking for the best college arm on the board"

Would've loved for the Reds to draft with that profile.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Someone mentioned an injury? What's the deal with that?

For those of you saying the Reds are "going cheap", did it ever occur to you that this could be the price the Reds needed to pay to sign Aroldis Chapman?
