    There goes Shaffer.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

Rays get Shaffer. Good pick for them.

Wasn't Shaffer connected to the Reds for a while?

Is there less time between picks after the 1st round?

I'm not trying to say I think Travieso is a great pick- he's risky- but I'm glad I'm not a Cards fan watching them take Wacha and Ramsey with two first-round picks. A #4 starter and a scrappy Skip Schumaker type. Gag.

Good question. I think so, but not completely sure.

I sure hope so. Selig looks like he's ready for a nap.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

I believe so as well- I think the announcing of picks ends, and the pace greatly picks up.

I hated the Cards having 2 piks but I'd have to say it looks like they blew it

I mean, if your picks contribute at the big-league level it's not necessarily "blowing it"- but neither of their guys have anything close to star upside.

Stryker Trahan is built and looks about as catcher-y as they come. 6'1", 215#, neck and head sort of bullet-shaped.
