Hopefully Boyd and Ortiz sign soon! I keep checking this thread hoping I'll see their names in bold on the first page.

Seems like we have quite a few left that are unsigned. Who are the best prospects that we should be keeping an eye on during the next 72 hours or so?

I don't think there is anyone left who is a guy who would be a 'sleeper' type of guy. The new draft rules really changed that up this year. Ben Klimesh is the guy who may have the best talent among the post 10 round crew, but as a senior he signed quickly and had little leverage.

This is an article from July 3rd.

Although the SUU baseball program is no more, we’re still awaiting final word on whether or not Chase Rezac will sign with the Cincinnati Reds, who drafted him in the 27th round. Rezac was leaning toward playing his final collegiate season at either Utah or UVU.

I take back my previous post. That Brock Alphabet guy would be a real nice sign.

I just saw that he is going to college. Scratch that.

Dan Sweet is a heck of an athlete. I'd love to see what the Reds' development team could do with him.

I am really hoping they can get Zach Vincej signed. He recently won the Wallace Award as the top shortstop in college baseball and was the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Reds really need some shortstops. They have guys playing out of position at every team below the Double-A level.

You know you're diehard when you're pining for a 37th-rounder to sign. I love it. Well done, sir. (And your point is spot on.)

    Some would say AAA.

Jacob Stone, the 39th rounder, had some pedigree per BA's predraft rankings.

It's pretty certain that Stone isn't signing. Then again, who knows what a huge ante-up would do?

I haven't read anything about it but on Baseball America's Reds draft pick signings page it shows Jose Ortiz and Zach Vincej as signed (their names are in bold). Not sure if they have or not but found that interesting

Both would be exceptionally good news.

    Makes a good draft better.

‪#Reds‬ have signed 17th-rder Jose Ortiz & 37th-rder Zach Vincej. Don't expect to sign anyone else before deadline. ‪#mlbdraft‬

Glad Ortiz and Vincej are in. Those are probably the two I'd have hoped for.

I wonder what happened with Boyd? I thought he was going to sign?
