    Lotzkar has 10 Ks, too.

Doesn't look like AA is too much of a stretch for the young (22) Canadian.

If Lotzkar and Cingrani continue to excel, and Corcino and others (Villarreal? Sulbaran? Rogers?) get even slightly on-track, the Reds should have a solid group to look at as early as next season.

(I suspect Cingrani and Corcino ply their trade in the bullpen for a couple of years, allowing Chapman to go to the rotation in place of Arroyo.)

    The hitters? Notsomuch.

    Louisville lost 2-1.

Pensacola's 2-2 in the ninth. Lotzkar went seven, with those 10 Ks. Partch has thrown two scoreless with 3 K. Fellhauer has a couple singles.

Dayton leads 6-1 in the ninth. Waldrop has three hits, Ryan Wright and Juan Silva each has two, with a 2B.

Curt Partch pitched three innings of brilliance. (How many of you just did a double take?) Justin Freeman pitched a scoreless 11th. Ryan LaMarre struck out to begin the bottom of the 11th, but Didi Gregorius singled immediately after.

    Re: Monday, June 4, 2012, Minor-League Updates

Billy Hamilton took another walk, stole another base, and scored another run in the first inning.

I believe that walk puts Hamilton just under the 12% BB rate, though my math could be wrong. He has 41 Ks to go with his 30 BBs.

While I would love to see that rate improve, a 4% difference between the two isn't bad at all and is a monster improvement from both career and last season numbers. The best he's done in a year is a K rate double his BB rate. That shows me that he's learning where the strike zone is and his hitting tool is improving as well.

His speed tool isn't bad at all-- 63 SBs in 54 games.

Corcino, Lotzkar, and Cingrani make a hell of a three-headed monster that will hopefully work their way into the Cincinnati rotation in 2014.
    Go BLUE!!!

Hamilton took another BB in the third off Tyler Matzek. (Big surprise, I know.)

Board Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete and/or edit any messages that violate any of the following guidelines: 1. Explicit references to alleged illegal or unlawful acts. 2. Graphic sexual descriptions. 3. Racial or ethnic slurs. 4. Use of edgy language (including masked profanity). 5. Direct personal attacks, flames, fights, trolling, baiting, name-calling, general nuisance, excessive player criticism or anything along those lines. 6. Posting spam. 7. Each person may have only one user account. It is fine to be critical here - that's what this board is for. But let's not beat a subject or a player to death, please.

Thank you, and most importantly, enjoy yourselves!
