    Signing picks

The Bengals have had 8 of their top 10 picks signed for a couple of weeks now. In the past, it was rare to see them sign any picks until the week before training camp at best. The new NFL rookie slotting system has clearly been the difference. Is there hop that baebal's new system could make picks in this year's draft less likely to holdout and get them to Goodyear or Billings faster?

    Re: Signing picks

I think teams are definitely thinking hard about signability, probably moreso than past years but more in light of not trying to grab a guy late and lure him away from college with money over slot.

Guys only have until July 13th to sign. In the past they had until August 15th or August 20th.
