I posted a piece under Hudson's thread, but apparently he hit very well this season. Also another piece from his play in the New England Summer League has Hudson saying that Brad Radke is his cousin.

I love bloodlines. It's not just the genetics, though they help. It's the coaching they get from the time they can toddle. They get taught correctly from birth until proper mechanics are second nature. Whatever talent they have is usually magnified.

The Athletics had also drafted his brother from WVU but waited a couple years before getting drafted again and signing with the Twins.

Good value according to BA, who had him ranked #191 overall. I'll take it.

So the Reds have drafted 2/3 of the Bruins' OF?

The Reds have drafted a complete outfield, a starting rotation and catcher, and a SS. All they need is a 2B, 3B and 1B.

Sadly, about the only thing I can remember about Rich Amaral is that Chris Berman had a nice nickname for him (before I started loathing Berman).

Reminds me of when they drafted Valaika and Turner out of the same college infield. Turner actually turned (NPI) out to be somewhat of a serviceable pro.
