I think his size is the reason they peg him as a reliever, only 6' tall and a bit slight of frame

So do I, getting college relievers who might move quickly in rounds 3 and up are often a good idea.

Not opposed to relievers at this stage in the game. Maybe he pulls a Cingrani too and gets a shot as a starter?

His dad, Paul Langfield, played minor league ball in the early '80s. Low A and high A is as far as he went.

That always helps - usually means good solid coaching growing up

Mooneyham goes to the Nats at #111. It is freaking UNBELIEVABLE how they always do what I would have done in the draft. It's like their scouting director is my doppleganger.

Jays take Alford. If anyone can sign him, they can but it's still unlikely. Good risk/reward in the third round.

Reds just drafted Sam LeCure's replacement, I think.
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg

All I hope is that the Reds can sign all 5 of these first picks and I'll be ecstatic
