I've never seen so many horrible AB's in a Reds game before tonight. Just FLAT PATHETIC!

I think tonight was more reflective of Homer Bailey than his last couple of starts. The offense (-Votto) is not making contact when RISP
Wrong on all accounts. Bailey had shoulder tightness. Clearly. No debate. He couldn't get loose and that is why he was pulled. Considering the almost week layoff and cool night, little surprise.

The Reds offense was its usual self. Sometimes teams get lucky. The Pirates had theirs.

Let's just assume it was the cool weather and he couldn't get loose. Doesn't bode well for pitching in night games in October, does it?

Depends. He would have 200 innings under his belt then and a period of power pitching. He did ok during points in 2009-11, but the earlier parts of the season were problemsome.

I just don't like that excuse. I think Bronson pitched that way all last season.

Bailey worked hard to get into shape for the whole season.....flexibilty and strength. He's gotta come back firing next outing. Gotta get 12+ wins and 180+ innings
