    Because there is not an automatic correlation between being rejuvenated and getting two or three hits. Lots of factors go into whether or not a player gets a hit, not the least of which is the opponent.

    Why do pitchers need time off between starts? Lets just go with a three-man rotation for the rest of the year. Rest is bogus.

    I guess what I am referring to is the Brennamans noting that Joey is 10 for 19 since the day off AS IF there is a correlation.

    I know if I get a day off I feel motivated and refreshed to go back into work the next day, don't see why it would be any different for ball players.
