Brandon even looks like a leadoff hitter when he is batting cleanup - he just doesn't look like a cleanup hitter. And he strikes out. 8 Ks for Burnett.

Forget about Charlie Morton, Burnett is the new Reds killer.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I bet he is wondering what might have been if his career didn't detour to the AL East.

And James MacDonald. Honestly, the Pirates are basically mirroring their season last year. Strong starting pitching and little else. At least they've become proficient at something.

Can't believe that one got out.

    Derrick Goold‏@dgoold

Garcia has been removed from the game. We have not been told if it's performance or elbow related. Will update @stltoday #cardinals

Another pop out is a souvenir into the seats.

Be nice if our Reds would hit some "pop flies"

Walker rips a shot foul. That was no pop.

Now he strikes out. The hardest hit of the night and it was a foul ball.

8-2 bottom 6 and Burnett is sailing along. Doesn't look like the Reds night.
