He can fight with Danny Visciosa as the catcher to emerge as heir apparent to be Devin's backup behind Tucker.

Just saw this from that piece - Brad Radke is his cousin (both went to Tampa Jesuit).

I just noticed all the others stickied, but I'm fine if it's not.

Can he at least be better than Craig Tatum?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Tatum made it to the Majors. That is better than a whole slew of guys.

Didn't mean to slight Tatum, it was a roundabout way of asking if Hudson will be able to hit his weight.

I liked that he seemed to make a giant leap this season (and apparently in the New England League). Should be interesting.

    Re: Joe Hudson

A Notre Dame blog is saying Hudson will definitely sign. I'm not sure the figure being cited is the stated amount for that round or if they have some info.

    Re: Joe Hudson

Here's another blog piece on Hudson. If Mesaraco is the starter of the future, Hudson can be a possible candidate for replacing Hanigan as the back up. He certainly seems to have made a huge leap forward this current season.
