Kyle Winkler takes over for David Holmberg, the Rawhide pitcher also pitched a great game.
Neither starter can get the decision now.

Bottom of nine and Mighty Casey Time for this Mudville Nine. Sandville actually out there in Bakersfield. Can you strike the ball some mighty blows, boys and win it for McMyne?
The Blaze has Lohman, Smith and Mattair coming up the 2, 3, 4 hitters. The Heavy Lumber if you will. The heartwood of the batting order.

Lohman walks. They were careful with him
Smith gets down a good sac bunt and Lohman moves on to 2nd.
    Mattair chops air. 2 down.
Ahhhhh, there is no joy in Mudville...er Bakersfield...Niko V has struck out. 3 down. On to extras.
1-1 end of 9. Darn you McMyne!!

    Rawhide top Ten

Garrett doubles and they lift him for a pinch runner.
Gomez sac bunts, they screw it up and everyone is safe 1st and 3rd
LaPensee singles, scoring 1 and runners on 1st and 2nd still no out
Bell bunts, McMyne bobbles it and everyone is safe - again. Bases loaded.
Groff hits into a force - out at home. Still loaded. 1 down. Did that right

With this pending mess the Blaze send in Chris Joyce to relieve Kyle McMyne. One Joyce wrote of life's miseries why not another one to try to wriggle out of this misery?

McMyne came in with an ERA of 5.68 and that will go up a bit after tonight.

So Chris Joyce has the bases loaded with 1 out, trailing now 2-1. Huge job to try and keep the lid from being blown off.
Here's the first batter. Line drive right at Mattair at third! 2 down. That was a much needed out right there!
He gets Archie Gilbert to pop out to D'Anna in foul territory and Joyce gets it done! Great job by the young man in a real pressure cooker situation!

Come on Blaze. Let's score 2 and go home winners.

    Blaze tenth. Do or Die.

Blake Cooper on to pitch for the Rawhide. I keep expecting to hear Flint McCullough's name called...(that's probably way too old for most of you guys)

D'Anna, Ewing, Barnhart and, hopefully, Bowe for the Blaze. Backend of the batting order has to be heroic tonight.

D'Anna - uummph - not enough - flies out to left. 1 down
James Ewing strikes out swinging, like a barroom door flapping. 2 gone
Tucker B singles into right on a ball deflected by the first baseman. Life!!
Theo it's up to you bro!!
Ugh. Grounder. Force play 6-4, Tucker out at 2nd. Ballgame.

Blaze lose 2-1 in 10. Loss pinned on McMyne. Terrific start by Daniel Renken but a wasted effort in the end. He keeps pitching like that, though, and he'll get noticed quick.
