    Does it seem odd to anyone that the Reds draft so many guys from obscure colleges? So far: Trinity, Bakersfield, Palomar, Grayson County, Saginaw Valley, Albany, Southern Utah . . . And it's not just this year. I've noticed the same thing the past couple seasons. I wonder if the Reds are unusual in that respect.

    My guess is that everyone does, it's just that you only look at the Red's list that closely?

    U of O has just had their baseball program back for a couple of seasons now. It seemed like it really got going again quickly.

    There's some rule in there that allows some sophomores to be eligible for the draft, but I don't recall what it is. It's fairly limited, as I recall.
