That should make the Cowboy happy.
ROUND 17 532Jose Ortiz, CJuana Colon HS,
DOB: 06/11/94
Wow, really nice pick here if the Reds can sign him. Perfect Game loves him:
They say he's committed to a college, but I can't find where.Report
Jose Ortiz is a 2012 C with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Comerio, PR who attends Juana Colon School. Thick mature build, very good strength. Right handed hitter, very aggressive swing approach, rotational swing with lift and power, looks to pull, commits early and attacks, ball jumps hard when centered, game home run, crushes mistakes. Very good arm strength behind the plate, quick compact arm stroke, 1.86 best pop time, active feet, will have to work on hands/receiving skills. Has the tools to keep improving. Good student.
PG Grade: 9.5 [Grading Scale]
Really nice gamble here.
Are we just showing the Reds' picks in this thread?

Round 18: Jackson Stephens, RHP, Alabama HS. 6'3", 205#.
Perfect Game says his fastball tops out at 91 mph, with an occasionaly effective change. Has a college commitment to Alabama. Plays both 3B and has tools enough to try it if pitching doesn't work out. Slow, slower, and slowest. 9.5 grade out of ten, indicating top division of college (makes sense, as 'Bama has him signed) and top ten round draftee talent.
The only listed so far were Reds. I saw there was no thread so created one. This thread people can list other teams picks, Reds picks, tell who they want to draft. They can also make any other comments.
