Wasn't Leake very likely to let that runner score somehow?
I don't think so. He's usually a ground ball pitcher and he was inducing more grounders than usual tonight. He was also getting the swings and misses. I was fine with Leake pitching there. (of course there SHOULDN'T have been a guy at third...*grumble, grumble*)

What pitcher was warming up at the time?

IMO, that's three games in four days that Dusty left his starter in too long.

Dusty talks about being aggressive, but he is passive when it comes to removing starters. He loves to leave them in the game.

It's as if these guys are getting paid by the half inning.

Dusty is the only manager who leaves the starters in too long while overusing the bullpen.

Frustrating team to watch. Passive yet aggressive at the plate. Maddening. But if they end up losing this - its on a mental error and those are the worst.

I don't know. Lecure had been warming earlier. But Arredondo hasn't pitched and is well rested.

And if Dusty didn't have a good reliever ready that's his fault.

    That's not fair to Dusty.

Jerry Narron was Hall of Fame caliber for that particular attribute.

I knew Joey was toast when he kept reacting late. Oh well.
