    Brent Peterson

Here's a piece from the Bakersfield newspaper noting that he could someday play for the Blaze.

Also, here's a piece from 2011 with Army indicating that Peterson had been drafted by the Reds in 2010 (17th round), but decided to attend West Point (which, by the way, no longer has a draft ). No explanation how he ended up at Bakersfield College.

LOL. Actually it's good to see the affiliate reaching out to a draftee to welcome him. He still has some eligibility (apparently has signed with Oklahoma), so anything that might entice him to sign, I'm all for it.

Brent Peterson's father claimed that the Reds offered his son $250,000 to sign after being drafted in the 17th round in the 2011 draft. I haven't seen his signing bonus published anywhere this year, but I think it's safe to say he didn't get over $100,000. DON'T GO BACK TO SCHOOL, KIDS!
