That was one beautiful inning by Lecure. Which the Reds sorely needed. Nice work by Sam the man.

Now let's find a way to score an actual run. Usually a homer is the way for this club, let's get one.

You place too much emphasis on every batter, every inning, every game, when baseball is a long term plan.

There is a ton of randomness in baseball, which players do not control. If you are expecting eveythiong to go right all the time, it's not your sport.

We are in first place. And our only competiton is down by four.
I agree with everything here except the "only competition" comment. People are really too quick to bury the Pirates IMO. I don't think they'll hang with us either, but if they get ANY hitting...they're someone to keep an eye on IMO.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

I know Bruce is up next, but keeping this lefty in is questionable.

Feels like a spot where Phillips could belt one.

I think a big part of the Buccos success has to do with Clint Hurdle. He gets the most out of his players and that team never gives up. Hurdle is a fine manager, and it seems as tho that team really does take on its managers personality

Hey Reds, show the world you can pull one out without Votto hitting in the inning.
