Heisey goes down 5-3 but at least he made Porcello throw some pitches

Latos has had some problems in the middle innings. Some posters have said his numbers decline after he reaches some modest pitch count.

Would like to see him come on strong here for a few innings.

Votto can afford to take pitches. Votto sees pitches differently than other players, otherwise he wouldn't be Votto. It may seem easy to take the first pitch, but if guys like Cozart and a thousand others get down 0-1, they become very poor hitters.

If watching Votto was the answer, you and me (OK, maybe just you) would be in the majors. But I'd be in the high minors.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Old as I am I'd need to lug respirator around the bases. I think it'd slow me down.

Verlander vs Arroyo. That's sure an odd pairing

Don't sell yourself short... you always had good opposite filed power. Must have grown up watching the Pirates!
