    113 pitches for Verlander through five. With a 6-pitch inning thrown in there.

    Still has only given up 2 runs and the tigers have been good at getting solo shots today

    All things considered this has been a successful 5 innings for the Reds. Verlander vs. Arroyo and we're still tied...and Verlander is almost at 120 pitches.

    Wish we coulda got a couple of more big hits, but there's a reason this guy is the reigning Cy Young and MVP winner.

    there was no failing by Jay in that at bat, he knocked JV out of the game with four more times for the Reds to come to the plate.
