Daniel Dorn and Bill Rhinehart have both clubbed 3-run homers, and Louisville is having a that's-more-like-it kind of night. At least so far. It's 7-2 in the fifth behind Reineke.

Pensacola scored 3 in the first, keyed by a leadoff single by LaMarre and doubles by Didi and Guzman, and it's 3-1 in the fourth, Lotzkar giving up only an unearned run. For whatever reason, Vidal is not in the lineup and PJ Phillips is playing third base.
Daniel Tuttle surrendered a 5-spot in the fifth and Dayton trails 5-1 after six. The 1 came on a double by Ryan Wright.
The Reds' two (okay, one-plus) Dominican teams had a total of 7 hits between them today. It's systemic.
Bill Bray worked a scoreless inning for Dayton with a walk and a K. Lucas O'Rear didn't fare as well. Dragons trail 8-1 in the ninth.
Lotzkar's final line: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K. ERA 2.63. Picked a guy off.
Pensacola still leads 3-1 in the seventh.
Louisville held on 9-5. Jordan Smith picked up the save over 1.1 IP.
Pensacola won 3-1. De La Rosa and Partch each pitched two scoreless innings, Partch notching his first save. That feller has found his element.
Bakersfield is hitless through five, trailing 1-0. Jamie Walczak started and Justice French has taken over.

I was at that game and you do get more out of seeing it than what shows up in a boxscore. The starter Tuttle had a bad 5th inning and O'Rear looks like he needs to find his life's work. After getting hammered he then couldn't find the plate. I don't see much future for a guy who'll turn 24 this yr who throws 88 MPH FBs and is not LH.
Bray did not look anywhere near being ready. He topped out at 88 MPH and his control was erratic. He was not around the plate
3B James Ewing got thrown out at 1B on a one hopper to RF. Yes, the right fielder threw him out at 1B. Not good. A fan near me then asked "how does that happen?" How does a guy who's trying to move up the ladder let that happen? Not knowing much about him, I found this article which shows he's trying to get back into baseball after trying to make it as a downhill skier:

The only bright spot was CF Kurtis Muller who hit the ball hard all night
All in all, the Dragons looked horrible. Let's hope the draft pushes some better players into that team because the town of Dayton deserves better
