Brandon strikes out, Jay Bruce up. Brandon, what have you done for me lately?

I didn't realize till last night that BP's average was up around .280 I was surprised by that I would have figured it was lower

Jay grounded out to short, Frazier flies out, still 12-5 good guys. Eighth inning coming up.

BTW, back from his stint in the Witness Protection Program, JJ Hoover on the mound to pitch. First two batters out, most recent being Choo who strikes out swinging.

Love to see this Hoover kid get an opportunity to start. You can never have enough good starting pitching. And if you do, you can trade it for other needed help.

Herr Ludwick opens with a double, as Marty would say (and Sonny Bono), the beat goes on.

Mez goes full, but strikes out on the 9th pitch in the AB. Fouled off four pitches.

Let's assume the Reds hold on here. Who gets the W?

Marty & Jim are speculating Arredondo.

    Negron out looking

Valdez pinch hitting for Hoover. LeCure expected for the 9th.

Usually it is the guy who takes over for the starter but Arredondo only threw 5 pitches. Will they give him the win based on that?

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to just give it to Leake in this situation.
