All of a sudden, Leake's pitching like an ace.
I have always advocated throwing breaking pitches in batting practice. What good does it do for major league hitters to feast on 80 MPH straight cheese? None that I can think of.
They aren't gonna see many 80 mile an hour heaters right down broadway in a game.
Hopefully Leake can get us at least into the 6th. I'm not sure how sick he's been, but he might max out around 85-90 pitches today.
Looks like a good crowd for the businessmans special.
