I figured I'd try to track down some of the other earlier draftees. Here's a story from Matt Boyd's hometown paper. He just finsihed his junior year at Oregon State:

You do good work, metz--regularly coming up with fresh information on guys we know little about. That's a large part of what makes this forum so informative and worthwhile.
Boyd's Twitter account is mattboyd31 - nothing showing there other than some congrats and a comment that he was celebrating being drafted working on a group project in the library (that might have been mentioned in one of the articles, because it sounded familiar).
Well I did see this one:
Thank you for all the support! I'm so humbled and so grateful for the opportunity! Thank You #Cincinnati for this chance...

What's going on with Boyd, a 13th rounder? You would think he would have signed by now, unless he has decided to go back to Oregon State for his senior year.
I think I throw the ball as hard as anyone. The ball just doesn't get there as fast. Eddie Bane

If he goes back for his senior year, he sets his pro clock back a year and then he has no leverage next year, He might really blow up next year and endup with top round money, but chances are unless he's take in one of the first three rounds, some team will use the fact that he's a senior to lowball him. Might be better off taking the $100K now.

I was wondering the same thing about Boyd. It seems like his tweet about Cincinnati indicated he wants to play for the Reds maybe?
Matt Boyd was mentioning on Twitter a shark being sighted about 100 yards off shore where he's been swimming up at Cape Cod. I tweated him, writing, @mattboyd31 Be careful up there. We Reds fans would like you to have all your limbs attached. . He wrote back saying, "haha, of course!"
Sign a contract and get the heck off the beach!

Would've been a good time to bring up Chad Rogers.

Already mentioned in the signing thread, but Boyd announced he's heading back for his senior year:

#Beavernation make your reservations for Omaha. I have some unfinished business to take care of with my boys back in a Beaver Uniform!
