    Reds vs. Indians Monday 6/18

Rolen in the lineup. Roster move yet to be announced although I'd assume it's Negron....

    Cozart SS
    Heisey CF
    Votto 1B
    Phillips 2B
    Bruce RF
    Ludwick LF
    Rolen 3B
    Frazier DH
    Hanigan C

    Latos P

Having a DH in this series is the perfect scenario for Rolen's return: Rolen's glove > Frazier's, Rolen's bat > Pitcher's, Frazier's bat still in lineup.

    7 in a row...

Rolen batting 7th. That's an encouraging sign.

I do believe two spots above Hanigan = 6th in a NL park.

Something is wrong with my computer. Catcher is NOT hitting 8th. Dark clouds gather outside my window.

    OBP:
    Cozart -1st- .308
    Heisey - 2nd - 311

    Frazier - 8th - .343
    Hanigan - 9th .- 365

Makes perfect sense. Keep the guys that get on base BEHIND Joey Votto. And make sure they get the fewest at-bats.

As long as they keep winning, there is zero chance of Dusty changing anything...and really why would you?

    Whatever.

BRM quote from Friday's game thread.

You can enjoy and still improve the team..
Now, all of a sudden, it is "your (sic) winning, how do you improve that?

    Troll.

Even the BEST like to add better depth. That is about all this team is lacking....to an extent. If you can't see that, then please enlighten.

Because six games ago, they had just lost five out of seven. Rolen should bat last, like the hitter he is at this point of his career. That was one pathetic lineup out there yesterday. Clutch hitting by Phillips and an error by the other team is the only reason we got any runs.

Frazier should be batting 4th or 5th, Hanigan 1st or 2nd, and Rolen dead last. Even if Rolen goes on a "hot" streak, where he OPS's .750 for a week or two, he should still be batting last.

Last time I checked, how you win doesn't matter, and right now we have 4-5 game lead and are 10+ games over in the win side. As my friend said, all you can do is win, you can't "super win" or double win a game, you just win and they have. So why change it if it ain't broke.
