All Star Games tonight - A+ and AA on Milb.tv

Just a heads up for those of you who have Milb.tv, the Southern League All Star game and the A+ Carolina League vs California League All Star game are both on Milb.tv this evening at 7:15pm ET. The Midwest League All Star game is tonight at 7pm as well, though it is not on Milb.tv.

For those of you who aren't subscribers, you can still follow along online at Milb.com for box scores and maybe even radio broadcasts (I know that the A+ game is supposed to have one, not sure about the others).

Here are the Reds playing in those games:
    AA
    • Didi Gregorius
    • Josh Fellhauer
    • Ryan LaMarre
    • Daniel Corcino
    • JC Sulbaran

    A+
    • Billy Hamilton
    • Chad Rogers
    • Brian Pearl

    A
    • Ryan Wright

Injuries and promotions kept a few other guys who were named to the teams out of the game: Donald Lutz, Tony Cingrani, Joel Guzman (chose to not play), Donnie Joseph and Henry Rodriguez.

Gives me hope that he can hit well against better pitching.

Continues to do what he needs to in order to be considered among baseball's elite prospects.

Hamilton had a fantastic bunt to lead off the game. It was a Norris Hopper special where no one had a chance, even if he were only an average runner much less as fast as he is. Then he stole 2nd and 3rd before scoring on a ground out to short.

Billy Hamilton was 3.41 to first on a bunt from the left side. Stole 2nd easy. Stole 3rd easy. #Reds #90speed

    3.41 is decent.

I was more impressed by the bunt. With that bunt, I probably could have beaten it out. It was placed PERFECTLY.

Sulbaran threw a scoreless inning for the winning South team (Southern League A-S game), giving up one hit and striking out one. LaMarre was 0-3, Fellhauer 0-1, Gregorius 1-4 with an RBI.

Hamilton went 1-5 with a single (bunt), 2 steals, 3 strikeouts and took home the California League AS Game MVP (each league hands out an MVP to their team). He scored the only run for the California League, who lost 9-1.

I tried. I guess I'm not a prophet after all.

You might have to sit through a five hour energy ad. But look at the lead Billy Hamilton takes.

I love milb.tv, if they could broadcast at some point every level of minor league baseball it would IMO make it a very valuable tool

Right now they have at least one team in every league in the US except for the AZL/GCL levels. They are getting a lot better. Heck, three of the Reds four full season teams are now on Milb.tv. Only Bakersfield isn't and there has been discussions with them to get in on it, though it may not happen.
