As a rule, most pitchers absolutely want to throw a strike in a 2-2 count with the bases loaded. There's no reason for the hitter to assume a ball will be thrown in that situation.

That was about as good as An ab that Mes could have had there. U cant expect a whole lot from a .200 hitter

Mes just isn't ready. He has a real nice swing and bat speed, but his technique needs more refinement. We won't play him 4 times a week, he needs to be in AAA getting consistant playing time.

Silly statement. Navarro is just a body for AAA.

Not so much ball/strike as hittable pitch. The pitcher is not going to give in there with bases loaded and two outs in a 1-1 game in the 7th inning. At least not a good pitcher. Just isn't. He'll throw THAT pitch, and hope the batter gets himself out. Gotta get that count to 3-2 and hit something you know will be fat.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Well, the pitcher threw four pitches in that 2-2 count. Two were fastballs and two were sliders. He basically had Mes eating out of his hand in that situation.

    Especially with the bases juiced.
