Tough out with Santana batting righty against Marshall now. Beautiful curve, but called a ball for some reason.

Actually, Santana apparently hits better lefty.

    2-1 count.

Interesting answer to the stumper for Jeff. Number of Reds who had 2000 hits as a Red prior to Rose getting his 2000th hit. They had the answer as zero (C), but Bid McPhee had 2258 hits with the Reds. Only about 1300 were with the NL Reds, the balance with the American Association team at the beginning of his career. That league was considered a major league and the Reds show McPhee on their all-time leaders with his total base hits. I cry foul.

Nice job! Marshall throws some of the prettiest breaking balls I've ever seen. Just nasty stuff.

Marshall amazes me. Starts out shaky but does the job. Bravo! Now let's score

Remember, this is one of those tied road games.

If Reds go ahead, Chappy will pitch.

But if it's tied, probably won't be Chapman. Aroldis gets held back for the ultimate save opportunity.

Chris Perez in now. Ludwick, Rolen, Frazier.

    Somebody lose one, please.

It's possible that Dusty might use Cappy for 2, or he might be planning to use Marshall for a 2nd inning, but bring in Chappy if we score.
