We are losing games we should be winning, especially to the weaker teams like the Twins. Championship teams win these type of games. Time will tell.
AL dominance over the Reds continues. Horrible decision to take Leake out, Chapman should be moved down to AAA for the rest of the season and learn more pitches, cant wait for stubbs to be healthy and put Heisey back on the bench.
Right now pitching Chapman is a liability to this team, if you cant see that then you're delusional
As for Heisey....he's no world-beater for sure. He plays hard every single chance and puts his body through pain every chance he gets. His loss of power is perplexing.
As for what it seems and what is actuality in Heisey's last 30 games since May 14th he has 28 starts and was 37 for 120 which is a .308 average. Not made up numbers.
Today's miserable game takes him to .296 over the last 31 games he's played.
From Fayblog:
If that is what the Reds think then I have no idea what to say. There were numerous outings where Chapman threw nothing but fastballs. I think the opposing team knew what was coming. Now all of a sudden it is a problem? Guess again, Reds staff.–What’s wrong with Aroldis Chapman? Chapman in his last seven appearances is 0-4 with an 11.37 ERA. Before that he was untouchable. The Reds mainly believe Chapman is getting into trouble by getting into too many hitter’s counts, where he has to come in with a fastball.
