If it's consistent, I don't have a problem with it. Hitters need to adjust.

I think a strike should be a pitch in the strike zone. I don't think umpires should have the ability to have their own special strike zones.

Inconsistent is obviously worse, but this ump is affecting the game with his unusual strike zone.

It is much more weird than it is annoying or problematic.

That seemed like more of a strike than either of the first 2 pitches Rolen was rung up on.

Rolen K's looking. Again. 3 k's on the night for Scott. First 2 were clearly debatable though.

    2-1 Reds after 6.

It sure would be nice to give Latos a bit of a cushion. He has been fantastic tonight.

Brewers have a good pitcher going too. Of course, he's over 100 pitches so maybe the Reds will see the bullpen soon.

Tonight you can see why Latos was such a prized property when on the market.

He has an outstanding fastball and an outstanding breaking ball.

If a Red hit that it would have been called foul.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

That was a nice bare handed grab by Bruce off the wall to keep the ball from betting by him too
