    1-2-3 for Simon

5-2 Brewers to the bottom of 6
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

They're saying Ramirez may have caught him harder than thought when he slid into second and he's dizzy still from the blow to his face

Grienke at 88 pitches. If the Reds can work him this inning they could get into that Brewer bullpen in the 7th.

also noticed that Simon as a terrific 12-6 curveball -- that thing just dropped to the dirt on that last hitter.

The Reds are undoubtedly focused on improving the lead off spot. I'm predicting that they will have a good lead off hitter, if not this year, then by opening day next year.

It's simple dollars and cents. The team isn't getting it's full money's worth from the Votto contract with a below par OBP man leading off. Not Joey's fault, but the team has to know that Joey can produce more runs with better tablesetters.

Maybe Stubbs is ok as the second man, but the first slot has to change, and I'm sure it will.

Marty finally gets around to saying Phillips was replaced at 2nd. He's saying it was a precautionary move.

Which means Phillips is probably out tomorrow too, with the way Dusty handles these things.

I've noticed that Ludwick always uses two hands to catch fly balls, unless he has to make a running catch. Somewhat refreshing to see at this level.

Quick inning and not much working of Grienke. Not looking good now.

Reds go down 1-2-3 again and are running out of time.

    5-2 Milwaukee after 6.

looking at that its absolutely amazing he has as many rbi as he does - another reason rbi is a lousy stat to gauge batters on

With Votto's OBP/SLG stats, he should have 60 plus RBI.

    Nice might be an understatement.

This is has been a special few months of baseball produced by the Reds bullpen as a whole.

    Simply incredible.

Sure looked like Simon K'd him there...and now Gomez doubles. 2nd and 3rd, no outs.
