I say we will win 7. With Cueto pitching 3 times on this trip I like the chances of goin 7-4

I'm going to revise. Their ace starting the road trip with a loss is a bad omen. They'll win four games in California and go into the All-Star break in third place.

In SF: 1-3 (though, where they get the one win is tough to see)
    In LA: 1-2
    In SD: 2-2

Nah. 2-2 at SF, 1-2 at LA, and 3-1 at SD for a road trip of 6-5. Could be 5-6, but I'd even take that. If we go 4-7, we better have a great home record and go .500 on the road or else it's curtains for us. Those losses to Detroit and The Twinkies will haunt us until Spring Training.

Wow, tonight was like the lost decade all over. 1 hit over 9 innings (a single) in San Fran. Don't get me wrong, San Fran has incredible pitching, but that was a pathetic performance tonight. It also soured me a bit on Frazier. That ball misjudgement was bad and was worth a run. Cueto wasn't amazing, but he was still good despite not having his best stuff. I just hope the other pitchers in the staff come up big.

    4-7.
They won't be pumping the offense with cheap HR out there and just don't get on base enough to score much otherwise.

Ya gotta drive the ball in these cavernous parks. If you loft a ball to land without a bounce at 350 feet, that's an easy out, not a home run like GABP. It takes a minute to get used to, which is harder when you are facing good pitching. I hope they start barreling the ball tonight. Frazier is one of the best at that, I hope he gets back out there in LF tonight.

The offense has been mostly MIA for the last 13 games, more of the norm right now than the exception it seems.

    4-7 would be pretty encouraging.

    That's 4 wins and 7 losses, not 4 to 7 wins.

Re: West Coast Swing, 2012 EDITION

At first I said we would win 7 of 11. However I think now 6-5 or 5-6 is more likely. The matchups we have this weekend seem to be good for us. Even if we only win 1 in SF, The Dodgers are playing about as bad as anyone right now. We need 2 of 3 there and we could easily take 3 of 4 in SD. That right there is 6 wins. I would be happy with a 5-6 trip. If we took 3 of 4 from SD at least we can say we had a nice series before the break. Seems like alot of our guys need a rest, I just hope we can finish strong here in the first half.
