    Historically, Cairo is a better offensive player than.Valdez. But I'm afraid that Miguel is close to the end of the line. (I hate to say that, because I appreciate what he's done for the Reds the last two years. I can only think that Dusty is giving him a last chance to get a few ABs to prove otherwise.

    This team has 71-year-old Miguel Cairo playing second base, a third baseman playing left field, another third baseman who's batting .200 for the past two seasons and no protection whatsoever for its best hitter. If this team isn't in third place at the All-Star break, it'll be nothing short of a miracle.
