He can play SS and CF, I'm sure he can.

Good job Votto, Cairo almost screwed that DP up.

Yes. I'm surprised he isn't in the starting lineup tonight. Jim Kelch mentioned that he was asked (I assume by Giants announcer Mike Krukow) who would play 2B if BP couldn't go, and he told him it would be Valdez.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Cueto simply is not feeling it tonight and still only one earned run through 6.2. If we only had an offense.

The funny thing is Welsh speculated that Cairo was chosen because he is a better hitter. I am not sure how they figure that as Cairo is now batting .130 this year.

I imagine this is Cueto's last inning. Over 100 pitches.

Well then Walt should be general managing on the last year of his contract too, because he hasn't exactly given the manager much in the way to work with on the bench, in left field, at third base or, frankly, at shortstop.

What's Dusty supposed to do, put Dan Uggla at second when Phillips is out? Walt Jocketty has given Dusty a pile of garbage on the bench and that is indefensible.

So we have a bad manager and a bad GM and we're in first place? That equation doesn't add up.

Or if only that ground ball to Pagan didn't find the hole in the first. We'd be talking a 0-0 game right now. As it is, 2-0 tonight feels like 8-0 against other teams in other parks.

Ugh. Frazier misjudges a line drive gets over his head. 3-0 Giants a gift run.
