Another lovely move by Dusty. Sam the stash LeCure. A pitcher few teams would move outa AAA. Why?

little harsh. Sam has been pretty good. Due for an off night. Why not tonight when they're pretty much cooked anyway?

Not our night tonight. For all of you doomsday folk, just remember we beat Cain earlier this year.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

That was a given before the first pitch was thrown tonight. Since New York, the Reds have been below .500 against mediocre to horrific teams: 0-3 at Cleveland, 1-2 vs. Minnesota, 2-1 vs. Milwaukee.

That's hardly confidence-boosting going into San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The game was at 3-0. Why not a more reliable arm. Sam is mop up or long relief. In the 7th I would expect someone to hod them. SAMs ERA of 4+ would indicate that wouldn't be the case. I like Sam, but not in this situation. Just a brain fart that is now out of hand.

Perhaps you're right. Just have a bad feeling about this road trip. They've been stumbling lately and this is bad timing to be going west, imo. I hope like heck they prove me wrong.

Of course, but the road is rough and the writing is on the wall. We have to make it up after this horrible road trip. A couple of wins in Cleveland and another win in the Minn series (against that horrible team) would have helped.

WV, I disagree on this one. Sam has had some terrific outings this year, he is rested, this was a fine time to bring him in. It didn't work, it happens. The real crime would have been to use Marshall. And Ondrusek and Arredondo both pitched yesterday.

Ultimately, the Reds' problem on this trip is going to be scoring runs. The occasional 330 foot fly ball isn't going to do it in these stadiums. It's a different brand of baseball requiring such things as multiple and consecutive base hits.

Meanwhile, Cairo thinks the umpire is WAY off on his strike three call and is laughing.

That was the same strike call Bum has gotten all night that Cueto never got once
