I'm afraid the book is starting to get out on Frazier. He struggles big time with offspeed away. We'll see if he can make adjustments.
On the other hand, Bumgarner is looking nasty tonight. I hate the term "tip your cap," but that's what it's looking like. These games happen every once in a while. I'm sure the Brewers were tipping their cap to Latos the other night.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......
April 28, 2006.
This reminds me a bit of the Halladay no hitter in the playoffs two years ago. Pitcher is going great, terrific performance, but everything he throws is called a strike, no matter where it is.
I have no problem tipping my hat to Bum but this could have been an exciting scoreless game with Reds personnel in their proper roles - at least until the pen came on...oh well...it is what it is
I think it's a good move to get Jose back on the horse tonight
Well, this looks hopeless, but it now becomes imperative that the team win more of these games than they lose on this road trip. Then the goal is to win at home two out of three and go .500 on the road. Anything else and it will be disaster. I think.
Gotta get a run in the 9th. It's for pride.
Jose continuing to hold his elbow after pitches...
Heisey up in the only place I ever want him to be. One and done.
Heisey pop fly to left on pitch three
Cozart snowcones a liner to Sandoval at third. 2 down
