Why is Dan Uggla (a .235 batter) going to the all star game over BP?!

    Seriously...

    .235 Batting Avg, 11 HR, 42 RBI's.

He has below average defense as well.

The fact that Brandon Phillips gets robbed over a guy like this just proves that either Cincinnati doesn't give a rip about voting for there players, or the rest of the mlb teams think nothing much of him because of how small market we are.

Regardless, he got robbed if he's not going. Absoultely robbed.

Lol....ur funny. He is making it because the fans voted him in. He plays in a bigger market and had gotten off to a good start. BP has made the team in the past and will make it again!!!

Votto is leading the NL in votes....and before you get to the fact that his competition is weak.....it's pretty weak at 2nd as well.

Atlanta is a pretty big market but is it bigger than Houston? Altuve should be over Uggla as well. As should Hill of the Dbacks and maybe Infante of the Marlins.

He's the best defensive and one of the best offensively on the 1st place team....it would be a little silly for him not to be there.

    Seriously...

Average is such an overrated stat

    Uggla has a better OBP
    More doubles
    More HR
    Better OPS

He should not have more doubles than Phillips....but surprisingly does.

I remember Uggla in the ASG a few years ago....I think he had 3 errors in about 2/5 of a game.

Phillips cares. He retweeted numerous tweets begging people to vote for him.

    Lol.....OPS is only .003 higher

Phillips defense over Uggla's should account for .050-.075 OPS

Phillips not selected, by the fans, players, or Larussa. Looks like BP is gonna get a few days off. It's sad an above average hitter for that position and well above average glove. He should be on the Allstar team without a doubt. I think everyone dropped the ball on this one.

For me, Cueto has had twice the season Phillips has had on the heels of a monster 2011. That is a much bigger snub than Phillips.

For that matter, Cueto has also had twice the season of Bruce.
