Another excruciating Sunday loss. Getting old quick. Barry continues to show why he is a horrible 3rd base coach. Dumbfounding...

I can't blame Berry. Hanigan up with the bases loaded and no out is a better bet of getting a run than sending the runner, imo.

Good point. Ryan is one of the team's better contact hitters, really should have hit the ball someplace there.

Wrong in this case. Ludwick had a decent jump and the Giants would have conceded the run. Soft base hit and Melky was moving away from his throwing hand. Inexcusable decision to hold Ludwick.

Ya. That was a tale of two innings if ever there was one.

I can't help but feel like Bruce's blunder was the biggest. That should've been a routine play (for him). He makes that catch, we're in the top of the 10th right now.

Reds are due a couple of unlikely wins by the baseball gods. They've given away four in the bag in the last month starting with the Tigers fiasco.

My thought on the not sending Ludwick...

    If there is any doubt...don't.

You have to assume with no outs and the bases loaded, he will get in anyway.

Didn't work out that way today though.

    That was maddening.

    Berry should have sent Ludwick.

Bruce should have caught that ball.

Giants announcers were dumbfounded on both accounts. So was I.

There wasn't any doubt. It was a no brainier in this case. Hanigan failed miserably but take nothing for granted in assuming a run.

That's the truth. The MLB network guys were basically making fun of Berry. He's incompetent and should be gone, IMO.

I watch plenty of MLB network and have seen a base coach get picked on maybe twice. And both times it was Mark Berry.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Really moot point about sending Ludwick. Giants would save scored two on Bruce's error anyway and won the game.

Chapman would have been pitching. I assume there is no chance the same events would have occurred.
