    Sunday 7/1/2012 Minor-League Updates

    Tim Gustafson started for the Bats tonight and gave up five runs over four innings. Louisville scored single runs in the third (walks to Harris and Negron and a single by Gathright) and the 4th ( a Neftali double, a GO and an error.

    It's now 5-2 after five and a helf.

    Tim Crabbe started for the Blue Wahoos to night and gave up six runs on three hits (all homers) in four innings - ge also walked six. Pensacole scored three in the top of third on walks to Flery and LaMarre, a triple by DiGregorious and a Sac Fly off the bat of Brodie Greene. It's now 6-3 Jacksonville going to the 6th.

    Bryson Smith, rolling along, is 3-3 with a double for the Wahoos.

    Juan Perez, who homered last night, has another one today, along with a triple, for Dayton, which trails 7-5 in the sixth.

    Starlin Gerson had a rough fist inning, giving up five in the bottom of the first and has just surrendered two mor in the fifth. The Dragons scored two of their own in the top of the first with the fourth HR of the season for Juan Perez, a single to Joe Terry and a double by Ryan Wright.

    They just came back with two more in the top of the fifth on a double for Juan Silva, a walk to Junior Arias, a two-run triple by Juna Perez and an error on a pick-off attempt at third.

    Dayton now trail 7-5 in the middle of the sixth.

    Sal Romano surrended one in the first and three more in the second as the starter for Billings. Beau Amaral (CF) and Dan Pigott (LF) get their first starts for the Mistangs - both are 0-1. A Jess Winker single is the only hit for the good guys so far. Billings trails 2-0 after two.

    Bakersfield is about to get underway vs. Lake Elsenore with Josh Smith on the Bump.

    The AZL Reds have a 10:05 start later tonight.

    Kanekoa Texiera gave up a run to Indianapolis in the top of the sixth, but the Bats got it back in the bottom of the 7th on a Corky Miller walk, a WP and a Felix Perez double. Indianapolis leads 6-3 after seven.

    Mark Serrano gave up a dinger in the top of the sixth, then Beau Millers returned the favor with his third round-tripper as a Wahoo in the bottom of the inning. Pensacola trails 7-4 after six.

    Billy Billy Billy. Hamilton reaches on an error, steals 97 & 98, then scores on Bowe's Sac Fly. 1-0 Blaze with Lake Elsenore coming to bat.

    Bowling Green roughs up Lucas O'Rear (up from Billings) for five in the botto of the sixth (only one was earned). Dayton gets two back in the top of the seventh on an error, a FC, a single by Josef Terry and a Ryan Wright double. Dayton trails 12-7 middle of the seventh.

    I wonder what the error rate is on balls Hamilton hits and how that ranks against others in his league, etc?

    Billings gets on the board in the top of the third with a run on a brandon walk, Beau amaral's first pro hit, a Jesse Winker BB and a Sac Fly by Carlos Sanchez, The Mustangs are down 4-1 middle of the third.
