Bryson Smith finished 4-4 and is now hitting .533 for the Hoo. That classifies as a hot start. In his minor league career he is a .327 hitter. That will play.
I went to the Jax game and stayed till the 7th. It was broiling, I was old and they were taking forever. I saw Smith's first 3 hits. They were all solid line drives. I see Cingrani tomorrow.
Bakersfield leads 4-2 after 6.5. They tacked on one in the top of the seventh when Juan
Duran reached on an error and Niko Vasquez doubled him home.
Billings plars add-on in the top of the 7th. Duran reached on and erro and Vasquez doubled himr home. Brackman sets the Storm down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning. Now 4-2 going to the 8th

The AZL Reds about to get underway. Vaughn Covington on the bump.
Jesse Winker's stats are starting to get ridiculous. 4 for 4 today with a walk. His stat line is now: .422/.519/.511/1.030.
Final in Missoula. The Mustangs fall 6-2.
Jesse Winker - 4-4, 2B, RBI, BB
Beau Amaral - 2-5, R
Dan Pigott - 1-3
Carlos Sanchez 0-4, RBI
Brandon Dailey - 1-3, R, BB
The AZL Indians plate 4 in the top of the first off Covington. The Reds coming to bat.
The Reds get two back on a triple by Avain Rachal and Tanner Rahier's 3rd HR this season. 4-2 Indians.
Rahier and Winker really shining so far. Rachal and Washington aren't too shabby either.

Neither team scores in the 8th. Still 4-2 Blaze going to the ninth.
Juan Duran doubles to lead of the Bakersfield 9th, but is doubled off at 2nd on an 8-6-4 DP. Still 4-2 Blaze going to the bottom of the 9th.
Were Winker to continue to kill the ball for another week or two, I'd probably move him up to Dayton and put Yorman on the shelf in Extended Spring Training to work with him.
I'd also not be afraid to move Rahier up to Billings now. He's got experience working with a wooden bat, a huge advantage for the kid. His power is playing now. (Oh, how I wish he could play up the middle.)
