I'm not watching, but unless the internet is playing a joke on me the men's basketball team just set the Olympic record for points in a game with about 5minutes go and lead Nigeria 139-68. Ouch.
I believe they broke the century mark in the third quarter. I thought the graphic must have been wrong. I guess not.
I've heard rumblings that FIBA is going to make Olympic basketball like Olympic soccer where the teams competing are U-23 and not necessarily true senior national teams. I think I'd really like that.
In hindsight, I almost wish after the Dream Team in '92, the US went back to using a college all-star team to make that anomoly stand out even more.
