Yeah that's the impressive part of this outing beyond the 97mph gas. Bruce did bail him out on a bad FB with no break to keep it 3-2.

Other than that solid as a rock from the 3rd inning onward.

Stubbs is up. In other words, strike one.

I think Bruce bailed Valdez out.

Apparently West Coast night games draw big game thread crowds.

    Speed kills. And bad fielding.

Reds catch a big break. Stubbs bunts right back to the pitcher who throws the ball into center field. 2nd and 3rd.

Horrid bunt, and even more horrid throw by Wright. Nice!

Stubbs just found his niche. Bunt and get a wild throw by an infielder.

Nice throw from Wright gives us runners on the corners, none out.

Incredibly bad bunt and even worse fielding play saves the Reds

Stubbs with yet another terrible bunt, but the pitcher throws it into center field!

Stubbs now in an 0 for 18 slump but luckily the pitcher helped him there.

Something to think about. For as much as we debate how good or not good Bailey is around these parts, just 6 or 7 years ago he would have been the unquestioned #1 starter on this staff, and it wouldn't have been close.

    We've come a long way.
