Folks when you get mad at Dusty just remember that Mattingly didn't walk Mes there.

    Absurd decision.

Gotta remember Votto is lurking on the bench.

Or just saving the bench that we don't have.

Please tell me he just batted because we have no bench.

Bailey at 100 pitches, hopefully that was just to save a bat.

Not going to use Votto except in an emergency. There are 225 million reasons.

I guess Mattingly has to consider that possibility.

Knowing Dusty, with a lead, Homer was hitting for himself.

But I take your good point.

Homer can go another inning. He can go two if necessary. Dusty doesn't baby him when Homer is going well.

It's just that Hanigan has earned the right to get the most PT for now. But I think Mes is a future star.
Just trying to light a fire under his butt. We know that MLB Pitching is a different world to AAA, but he started off a .300 hitter for the first month and then plummeted. We need to see him be more consistent at the dish (like tonight)! He has the tools and hits the ball very hard when contact is made, so I for one, am excited to see him mature into a more well rounded player.
