I always tip my hat to the pitcher if I feel it's actually the pitcher and not just the O. Like Bum the other night. I said as much in the thread. But not every Tom, Dick and Bellisario

The Reds are fourth in the league in OPS. I'll just leave that here.

    Irrelevant unless it's park-adjusted.

Well at least he is hitting ahead of Feazier in the lineup. *scratches head*

Bellsario has thrown scoreless innings against numerous ball clubs, I guess all of those teams are just hacktastic.

The OPS is all slugging driven. And that's fine far as it goes. But it is run straved because it isn't sufficiently shared by adequate OBP contributing.

Name names if you want, but this should have been a win. You have to score runs.

Does everyone realize that Capuano has an ERA under 3?

The Reds are 10th in the NL in road OPS at .684. Outside GABP the pitching has been stellar but the offense stinks on ice.

And Capuano is Tom Seaver, I suppose. The Reds' horrible plate approach apparently is irrelevant. All bad luck and cap-tipping.

Why? They've played half their games at home, and they will continue to play half their games at home.

And in the playoffs? Half their games at home.

Cap pitched his way out of jam after jam which is NOT his usual - the Reds had him on the ropes and couldn't strike the blow to break it open inning after inning. It was actually a poor outing for Capuano when you look at factors beyond runs. But he is a good pitcher. Yes.

They didn't get the hits when they had him on the ropes. That's one of their flaws. There are definitely flaws, I'm not denying this. But the 'we are down in this game so the world is ending' attitude gets old very fast.

    Well...that wasn't answered well.
